About Your Host

Born on the fourth floor of Cedar-Sinai and raised in West LA, Neil Ruane has worked in several writers’ rooms across the industry. Neil has worked at ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW and FX Networks in varying types of writers rooms with some of television's top executives. Starting in the industry as a Set PA, Neil would work on CHUCK, GOSSIP GIRL and at United Talent Agency by the time he graduated with a BA in Television Production from Loyola Marymount University. After graduation, Neil traveled the world, visiting thirty countries in a year of backpacking and taking extra time to live in Australia, London and Sweden.

Upon returning, he began working at Jimmy Kimmel Live assisting producers and writers in creating the daily bits for the show. Two years later, he moved onto FX Networks as the Showrunner’s Assistant on the critically acclaimed comedy LEGIT. There he moved up to be the Creative Digital Producer.

Recently, Neil has worked with writer and Co-Executive Producer from LEGIT, Chris Case, on the FOX pilot FAMILY HAVOC as well as other current shows produced by FOX Studios.
