The term “representation” can seem to mean so many things. And it’s often unclear who does what and what you, as the writer, are responsible for, as well. What’s the difference between an agent and a manager? Do you need both, or can you be successful with just one? And what about an entertainment attorney? How do they factor into this? What do you need if you want to sell a script – or do you even need one at all?

Audrey Knox worked her way up from Receptionist to Manager at the Cartel. She has experience in both scripted and unscripted television, on set, in production, and in writers’ rooms, and she has a BFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Her true passion lies in producing depressingly introspective comedies, but she’s never met a British gangster drama she hasn’t liked. Audrey also has a four-year-old rescue mutt who has performed with the hit comedy rap trio “Three Loco.”
For more than 10 years, Tiffany Boyle has leveraged her business-oriented sales and packaging skills to bring hundreds of films and documentaries to fruition. Tiffany connects filmmakers with producers, co-producers, executive producers, co-finance partners, distributors, agencies and other industry representatives. Recently, she led the sales and packaging for “Tragedy Girls” (SXSW 2017) & “Freaks” (Toronto IFF 2018) and has also served as executive producer on Daryl Wein’s “White Rabbit” (Sundance 2018), “Better Start Running” (Newport IFF 2018) starring Jeremy Irons, “Ashes in the Snow” (Los Angeles FF 2018) starring Bel Powley. Upcoming films include “Something Else” from the filmmakers of “Spring” and “The Endless,” Bethany Brooke Anderson’s feature debut “Burning Kentucky”, and “Arkansas” starring Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn. Experienced with project budgets ranging from microsized to $30 million, Tiffany has helped to establish and expand these high-value sales and packaging resources, uniquely accessed outside of the traditional management company and agency model, since joining Ramo Law in 2009.
Davina Hefflin, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, moved to California to pursue an MFA in Screenwriting at Chapman University. It was there that she got introduced to the agency world and discovered a passion for helping young, diverse creatives achieve their dreams in the film industry. After two years of working with Sean Barclay in the TV Lit department, she was promoted, realizing a hidden talent of developing projects with clients from the agent perspective. From script to screen, Davina works with her clients to bring their ideas to fruition and map out a strategy for their long-term careers.
