As screenwriters, we're often told to make something to show our work: produce a web series, fund your own film, or make a graphic novel. Having a finished product is always advantageous to show off your work. But a web series or an indie film is a daunting and full-time task, and not all of us have the artistic connections or drawing skills to make a comic book.

Luckily for you, there's a medium that will show your work off that costs almost nothing, and that you can start right now: a narrative podcast!

This Four-Week Class Will Cover:

  • The basics of podcasting
  • Concept to script
  • Recording, editing, and distribution
  • Feedback and Live Q&A!

Who Should Take This Class? This class is for podcasting noobs with an interest in creating their first narrative podcast.

What's the Takeaway? At the end of this class, you will have a completed pilot episode of your podcast recording and all!

About Your Host

Alex Switzky has over five years of experience in the podcast field as a host, editor, producer and scriptwriter. As producer and editor he has worked on over 200 episodes of various podcasts, including Paper Team. Alex has written for the scripted podcasts Conspiracy Theories, Mythology and Unsolved Murders for the Parcast network. Most recently he has worked with Adam Wingard (You're Next, The Guest, Death Note, Godzilla vs Kong) on developing the slate for Wingard's production company Montauk Chair Productions, and he is currently developing a pilot with a major production company. Alex listens to a truly unhealthy amount of podcasts each week, and lists his Bose QC25s among his most valuable possessions.
