This 4 week Incubator will match you with an exec that is currently looking for a specific type of script. You will write that script under their guidance and they can have the first look of the finished project to potentially continue working on it with you. If not, you still walk away with a new script for your portfolio!

This month's exec is Sarah Aldrich from 3311 Productions who is looking for comedies, dramedies, coming of age, female driven content and some grounded sci-fi in the TV space!

This Class Will Cover:

  • Story structure
  • Keeping conflict interesting and escalating
  • Crafting satisfying character arcs
  • And more! 

Class Structure:

Week #1 - Writers will submit concept, logline, character breakdowns, and outline prior to the first week's class for this exec to review. Your exec will give verbal feedback this week.

Week #2 - Writers will submit their revised outline prior to this week and this exec will make sure each writer's outline is structurally sound by giving another round of notes to fine tune.

Week #3 - Writers will submit the first act for this exec to give feedback on in this class.

Week #4 - Writers will submit a revised act one and as many pages as they can write prior to this week's class for this exec to review and give verbal feedback on in this class!

About Your Host

Sarah Aldrich is a Manager of Scripted TV at 3311 Productions. 3311's history is in features, where they have made Brigsby Bear, The Assistant, and In A World. She joined the team 3 years ago, shortly after they opened the TV department. 3311 has since sold projects to A24, 20th Century and A&E. Sarah has also worked in features and continues to contribute to the feature side at 3311 as well. Sarah studied screenwriting at USC and is extremely passionate about telling stories from new perspectives. One of her main goals is tracking and working with up-and-coming writers and helping to bring new voices to light.

What To Expect

Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.

Payment Plans

Payment plans are available for most multi-week classes. For 4-week programs, your balance will be due the second week of class. For longer programs, the balance will be broken up into 3 or 4 payments with the final payment due prior to the final week of class. Please note that you are responsible for the full price of the class even if you decide not to complete the program for any reason.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the class. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.
