We launched Roadmap Writers 4 years ago to create a fully immersive, transparent online platform for emerging screenwriters. In just 4 years we have helped over 100 writers get signed to nearly every major agency and management company in the industry and helped dozens more to get their projects optioned, sold, and produced.

We are so proud of the major strides all of our writers are making and we are excited for more years of success!

To continue to bring our community the best possible training, we have asked Emily Thomas (the master of TV drama) to host a four-week long challenge series designed to guide you through the development process of your next hour-long pilot. We encourage all writers who are ready to make screenwriting a career to keep creating content and we’re super excited for Emily to help you make your next script shine!

Here's to more amazing years to come!

How It Works:

  • Each week, Emily will cover a different aspect of the pilot development process: from concept and breaking ideas to characters and outlines.
  • Following each lecture, Emily will answer your questions live.
  • At the end of each session, Emily will assign your self-study Challenge for the week, designed to help you help yourself do your best work ever!
  • As always, all Webinars are recorded and all registrants will receive the recordings after the live broadcast!

    Week #1: Breaking Story

Week #2: Characters & Drama Structure

Week #3: Outlining and Beat Sheets

Week #4: Transitioning to Script and Writing Compelling Dialogue
